Technical Support Engineer
Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Technical Support Engineer to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first-line support for F&B POS software and hardware issues.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical problems related to POS terminals, printers, cash drawers, and peripheral devices.
- Handle software-related inquiries including system errors, configuration issues, and integration bugs.
- Assist in the installation and configuration of new POS systems at client locations.
- Train end-users on proper usage of the POS system.
- Conduct refresher sessions or follow-ups after deployment.
- Perform regular software updates, security patches, and backups.
- Coordinate with development teams for feature rollouts and version upgrades.
- Maintain clear and professional communication with clients via phone, email, and remote support tools.
- Log and track support tickets using a helpdesk system to ensure timely resolution.
- Provide feedback to improve service quality and customer satisfaction.
- Escalate unresolved or complex issues to senior engineers or development teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, product, and operations to address customer needs.
- Maintain detailed records of technical issues and solutions provided.
- Create and update knowledge base articles and technical guides.
- Prepare reports on common issues, resolutions, and trends to inform product improvements.
- Provide remote assistance and on-site visits as required for critical incidents or deployments.
- Be available for after-hours support or on-call rotations during peak service times.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum Diploma/Advanced Diploma/Degree or higher in any IT-related field.
- Familiarity with diagnosing and rectifying IT-related issues remotely.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Diploma / Advanced Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
